If you can't make it yourself, pay someone to do it is my motto. So I use Etsy a LOT recently. I find the products to be well made and shipping faster than say, Amazon. It's nice to support the crafty community, one of my favorite things to do, along with trying to find selers who aren't so well known and need a little boost in sales and or visibility.
The flu has some benefits (once I could sit up at the computer). Here are some adorable items I was able to pick up. Yes there's a bit of a theme -- January - May is BIRTHDAY season at Casa de Material Mama. Unable to really drive, I ordered these items-- The products were delivered professionally with fast shipping, and exactly what I wanted. I wanted to share these sellers with you.
For Christmas, I got this beautiful 'matchy' American Girl Dress for my little Honeybee. This was from etsy shop "mtbowles60" She was SO delighted they were twinsies for about three weeks. The stitching was very neat and even, and all the 'fiddly' stuff I don't like to do was done VERY well. I highly recommend this seller! So much that I went back and purchased Cinderella and Snow White outfits for her upcoming birthday!
For Valentine's Day I ordered this fun hat from "Spoiled Rotten Girls", which is also matchy for an American Girl Doll and her 'mommy'. Now they can wear warm hats together. I really liked the attention to detail and fast shipping.
For my college daughter, I loved this vinyl sticker from Vinylville for her iBook. I actually messed up and forgot to pay, and asked them where it was. They mentioned they needed to be paid first (lol). So I popped over the PayPal and got not only this fun cling, but another one as well for the trouble. Which was my fault. I think they are a class act for sure!
For my nephew I purchased this adorable "Moose" hat from Dream Knits by Ellen. I will call it a deer hat. The stitching was perfect and looks adorable on him! Great customer service to boot!
Also for my daughter that lives in a cold dorm on the Northern California coast, I purchased these cosy socks from Just Knitting. They aren't meant to be worn with shoes (I don't think so anyway) -- they are chunky knit, soft and oh so warm. They were difficult to send away, but she loves them!
With three daughters, fairy wings have been a staple of our home for almost 20 years. Alas, they get torn and used and must be replaced. Here was a great deal I found, they just arrived today from Curly Girl Boutique. Now that I'm looking at their site again, I'm seeing more they would like..... always the danger of doing these review posts LOL
Thank you to Etsy and it's sellers for keeping the Handcrafted dream alive!
